Introducing...GaeaStar!

San Francisco and Berlin based, GaeaStar's mission is to eradicate the harmful effects of single-use products. They believe that convenience should not come at the cost of our planet and have created an entirely new category in the market: elevated and reusable plastic-free to-go ware.

GaeaStar’s first product, the innovative Clay Cup, is designed to be used just once, or again and again until it breaks, at which point it can be disposed of in the garbage where it will break down.

Composed of just clay, salt and water, the Clay Cup is carbon neutral. Made from earth, it returns to earth after disposal, eliminating the need for recycling entirely. GaeaStar’s two locations in California and Germany are strategically placed to allow for a local production ecosystem. Raw materials are sourced locally, cups created in house, and used locally in coffee shops.

Dedicated to improving the environmental impact of our product selection, the Museum Store has partnered with GaeaStar to offer the Clay Cups in our store and online. Not just for to-go beverages, the cups can be used as drinkware for indoor or outdoor gatherings, a pencil cup, or even a pot for a plant. The carbon neutral, low cost, and elevated design aspects make the Clay Cup an innovative product that we want to support...and use at our next party!
