As part of an institution-wide initiative to examine the environmental impact of our processes, the Museum Store is working behind the scenes to improve all aspects of our business, from vendor and product selection to order shipping.

Since 1997, Public Glass has been San Francisco's only public-access glass studio and school. Located in the Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood, the nonprofit arts organization offers a full curriculum of glass courses taught by local and nationally recognized artists, as well as programming for underserved youth and adults, group experiences, and exhibitions.

It started with a question — what if we asked Carissa Potter to draw her interpretation of the SFMOMA Living Wall? —  and it led to a beautiful collaboration.
Our home products buyer first discovered Fellow in New York where founder Jake Miller was exhibiting some of his early products, including the Stagg EKG Electric Kettle. The combination of beautiful design and thoughtful engineering made the Stagg kettle a perfect product for the Museum Store, and when we found out that Fellow is located in San Francisco’s Mission District, we knew it was meant to be!
