With a background in architecture and a deep love for nature, she draws inspiration from tectonic forms and natural textures. Her aesthetic blends these elements, resulting in small, sculptural objects that interact with the body in a clean, modern style. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted from metal sheets, wires, and wax, using traditional metalsmithing techniques such as forging, forming, hammering, and soldering. Ravit works with recycled materials like sterling silver, gold, bi-metal, and incorporates both precious and semi-precious gemstones to add color and contrast.
Sarah Richardson Studio
Sarah Richardson’s jewelry is a process of evolving designs. Drawn to the organic quality of each individual pod, a repetition of these elements creates geometric form. Using traditional wax carving techniques, each piece is hand carved, then cast in 18KY gold or sterling. Using heat to bring the fine metal to the surface, each piece is then polished on the edges creating an interior glow.
All pieces are finely crafted in her San Rafael, California studio using recycled sterling, 18K gold & platinum and ethically sourced stones. Any pieces which are vermeil are plated in a heavy 18K gold over sterling, with gold fill chains, to ensure long-lasting quality.
