About the Designer:
Mando Levett, born in 1982 in Monterey, CA, has always been artistic, influenced by their mother, a designer and art collector. They have always loved the ocean and surfing; however, the craft of building surfboards came later in life. Mando was initially groomed for a career in hospitality and property management, believing that success meant following the expected path.

Recently, Mando has taken the leap to fully invest their time, money, and energy into their passion for surfboard building. When discussing their brand, Mando Surf Co., they get excited: “The brand came easy to me because it reflects what I am most passionate about: art and surfing, but also my personal experience. My intention is to make room for those who feel pushed out."

Mando’s brand is heavily influenced by their love for sci-fi, old music videos, and being weird." I can be all the weird things, and I can push back at a time when I think it’s important to push back a little.” Mando builds surfboards, bellyboards, and other things that float.
