I. Ronni Kappos jewelry is handmade from an evolving collection of vintage German glass. The beads were cast in the 1920s, 30s, and 40s by craftsmen whose meticulous techniques yielded unusual colors and shapes.

Kappos' design approach begins with a tremendous devotion to her materials. She values their history, but also designs with an eye for clean, modern shapes. Variations in the bead's color, or even slight imperfections, also add character to the pieces.

I. Ronni Kappos grew up in Los Angeles with her identical twin sister. She studied Art History at the UC Santa Cruz and then started making her own jewelry. Over the next few years, she amassed a vast collection of beads by fastidiously tracking sources and researching the many types of glass. I. Ronni Kappos jewelry is handmade from an evolving collection of rare beads, mostly vintage glass from the famed pre-war German beadworks in Bohemia.
