Rooted in the principles of Organic Architecture, this dwelling pays homage to the legendary Frank Lloyd Wright, whose work sought to harmonize the built environment with the natural world. Drawing inspiration from Wright’s Prairie and Usonian periods, the design balances a strong sense of shelter with geometric abstraction.  The structure is defined by its dominant, steeply pitched roofline, which creates deep, protective eaves; a hallmark of Wright’s desire to provide a sense of refuge. The façade features a linear relief pattern reminiscent of Wright’s iconic leaded art glass windows ("light screens"), utilizing vertical and horizontal interplay to create rhythm without unnecessary ornamentation. A distinct, square entry aperture punctuates the geometric grid, offering a modern departure from the traditional round opening.

Made with Marine Grade Mahogany Plywood. Wood grain, color, and finish may vary. (The birdhouse will weather and gray over time; to protect and maintain the color, finish and integrity of the mahogany, you can apply any high-quality oil stain as desired.)
