Tucker Nichols Black Scarf

Product Description

Produced by TessutoEditions

When the pandemic began, Tucker Nichols restarted a project called Flowers For Sick People, in which he mailed a small painting to someone struggling with illness on behalf of a loved one. It's a free service, supported by donations. Some recipients were living their final days, alone and scared. Others are heartsick with loss or struggling with other conditions. Many were dealing with COVID directly. Social distancing protocols had created a secondary pandemic of isolation and loneliness just when we most need human contact.

Sending paintings to strangers has connected Tucker Nichols to people all over the world. Before taking a break to work on other projects, he mailed out over a thousand flower paintings. He said he'd never felt so drained and fulfilled at the same time. These scarves are reproductions of some of the Flowers For Sick People. 100% Silk.

Made in Italy. Hand-rolled edge.

38 x 38 in.
